Official day of the CLIFOOD Block Seminar 6 "Agroecosystems"

The highlight of the Block Seminar 6 will be the public event on Agroecosystems. The official day will be opened by the president of the Hawassa University Ato Ayano Beraso Hula. Further welcome speeches will be given by Dr. Tesfaye Abebe Amdie, Scientific leader of CLIFOOD, Hawassa University, Prof. Alemayehu Regassa, Vice President for Research and Technology, Hawassa University, Dr. Nicole Schönleber, CEO Food Security Center, University of Hohenheim. 

Furthermore two keynote presentations will be presented: "National land rehabilitation program: lessons from Ethiopia" by  Dr. Tefera Mengistu from the Ethiopian Ministry of Environment and Forest in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and "Unsustainable agricultural practices and its impact on lake ecosystem" by Dr. Fassil Eshetu Teffera, AMU-IUC Program Manager, Assistant Professor-Aquatic Ecology, Biology Department, Arba Minch University, Ethiopia.
