University of Hohenheim - Network Meeting on Africa Research
The University of Hohenheim (UHOH) has broad expertise in Africa research. The Africa Research Network Meeting has brought together the various actors working on Africa-related projects at Hohenheim - whether focusing on agriculture, social sciences, or economics. This was an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation and networking within the university.
The event provided a platform to learn about each other's Africa-related research and to expand networks. Strategies for strengthening future research were also developed during the event.
Expected outcomes of the meeting:
- Gain an overview of UHOH's broad expertise in Africa-related research.
- Discuss ongoing projects related to Africa from a variety of thematic backgrounds
- Collaborate in working groups on opportunities for future Africa-related research
- Formulate a strategy to strengthen Africa-related research at UHOH.
- Expand networks
The Network Meeting on Africa Research was initiated by a collaboration between the Hans Ruthenberg-Institute (Prof. Dr Mizeck Chagunda) and the Research Center for Global Food Security and Ecosystems (Carolin Callenius).
