The transferable skills course: "Project management for your dissertation", was created and presented by Dr. Alexander Egeling
The course built on the basics of project management as used in business and academia. Thus, it was a general introduction to this topic. At the same time, it incorporated the perspective of doctoral students and focused on techniques appropriate for research in general and for doctoral studies. All aspects of the doctoral project were considered, from topic selection to defense. Participants were encouraged to contribute their own experiences and adapt the techniques presented. These techniques were practiced practically and led to individual planning of the doctoral project.
