The second part of Blockseminar 1 focussed on “Sustainable crop production and crop protection under varying climate impacts”. The topic was chosen to discuss and better understand the serious impacts of, for example, pathogens and insects on food crops. Locust swarms in Ethiopia and neighbouring countries have caused major crop losses in the region.
